Ode to Spring 2020

Updated: Aug 17, 2022

Spring in the garden at Riverdale Farm means an abundance of delicate blooms and scented garden roses. This spring bounty of floral material inspired a collaboration with a group of talented wedding vendors at the farm.

Ella of Aravella Event Design designed a mood board for the day, Jemma Keech photographed with her expert eye for detail and I created the floral arrangements from the beauty in the garden resulting in a pretty, feminine spring garden shoot at Riverdale Farm in a soft, pastel palette.

Flowers included a frothy mix of deliciously scented garden roses, foxgloves, delphinium, larkspur, queen anne's lace, snap dragon, flannel flower, love in a mist and delicate grasses foraged from around the farm. Flowers were all designed sustainably without floral foam.

Talented Ella designed this beautiful seating backdrop finished with delicious, personalised chocolate bars for each of the guests. Her company Papelle produces the wraps for the chocolate bars in addition to beautiful stationary which can be shipped worldwide. The simple but delicious classic wedding cake was designed by De La Rosa Cakes in Perth.

Late afternoon a perfect time of the day for the ceremony overlooking the gardens with views across the landscape to the Porongurups on the horizon.

Maisy, our much loved family member had ring bearing duties.

Thank you to all that participated in an enjoyable day at the farm.
